VERNON INTERNATIONAL

The name Vernon Fine Art International articulates the main objective and endeavour behind our organisation’s artistic-social conception – to support art not just at the Czech national but also at the international level. Fine Art International is active in the field of contemporary art mainly in Prague through its three exhibition spaces, but at the same time it tries to build a bridge between Czech art and the art world abroad. Each year the organisation attends art fairs around the world, exhibiting work by Czech artists in international fora (e.g. markets like Pulse New York, Arte Fiera Bologna, Beijing Art Salon, Shanghai Art Shanghai, Pulse Miami, Kunstart Bolzano, and many others). 

Vernon Fine Art Int. maintains a lively dialogue with galleries abroad and this co-operation provides new opportunities for exhibitions of work by Czech artists. In 2008 Vernon Fine Art International co-organised, for example, a group exhibition of Czech artists (Robert Šalanda, Jakub Nepraš, Lukáš Machalický, Jan Pfeiffer, Adam Vačkář) in Byblos, Italy, and in 2009 an exhibition of the work of Jakub Nepraš in Porto, Spain. 

From 2008 to 2009 Vernon Fine Art International ran the gallery Vernon International & In Stage in Padua, Italy. Prominent Czech artists, such as the photographer Ivan Pinkava, have thus had an opportunity to present their work beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.

In the coming years we would like to continue to support Czech artists abroad and in particular to focus on intensifying co-operation with exhibition venues in other countries.
